Leaning Tree Woodcarvers
Minutes for November 25 2003 Meeting
Minutes of the 11/25/03 Meeting of the Leaning Tree Woodcarvers:
*A list of members names and phone numbers was handed out. It is to be used for reference for help, as well as assistance in calling for meeting
changes.
*Due to good response to our advertising, and new members joining, it wa
decided to stay at two meetings per month through the winter months. If no one shows up at a meeting by 6:45 p.m., the meeting will be cancelled.
*If a meeting is to be cancelled because of bad weather, the officers will
call members and let them know.
*The Michigan Woodcarvers will be holding a Woodcarving Expo, June 12-13, before the Roundup in Evert. Each club will get a free table to show carvings, etc. If any individuals want a table, the cost is $10 each.
There will be a People's Choice Award show. No admission charge.
*Roger showed a sketch proposal for a patch to be made. Members are to decide colors and give to Stan to pursue completion.
*It was decided to change the start time of Club to 6:30 p.m. to extend
carving time. Club meeting will be from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Members may come and go as they need.
*Shirley will check with the township to make sure we are able to put up the
quilt, before we stimulate much interest in carving blocks for it.
*Richard Fry will display his carvings at the Dec. 9th meeting.
